More tips to change

How are you doing with your resolutions? Here are some more things to try for a healthier you:

Stop buying premade junk. That means cake mixes, cookies, canned soups, microwave meals. Make it yourself. Maybe you’ll need to spend time on the weekends preparing for the week. Or getting a pressure cooker to cook quicker or slow cooker to let it cook while you work. This way you know what you are putting in your body.

Eat and shop for local foods. Eat foods when they are in season. Try something new once a week.

Bring your own lunch to work instead of buying out.

Eat meatless meals once or twice a week. Eat more salads.

Make your breakfast ahead of time. Try some overnight oats.

Use Pinterest for recipe ideas.

Mix up your meals. Some people eat the same things day in and day out. Try something new and get out of that humdrum routine.

Keep your pantry stocked with healthy grains, spices, snacks.

Let’s Prancercise®!

We’ve seen the Wonderful Pistachios commercial with the Prancercise® lady showing how to open the nuts while doing her routine but did we know there really is such a thing? The Victor crew set out to find out more about it.

It was started by Joanna Rohrback B.H.S., who defines Prancersize® as “A springy rhythmic way of moving forward, similar to a horse’s gait and ideally induced by elation.”

You can see her original video here where she does a warm-up, a trot with weights on her ankles, a gallop with the weights, punching out with the weights on her wrists.

Her latest video, Prancercise® Fitness with Passion shows her running with horses in field with a partner. Her routine was based on the running of horses.

This system is no joke! She looks very fit and it looks like a good cardio workout. She looks like she is having fun doing it, too!
